class treasury pays for certain components of
the reunion events, such as the band and the
reservation of the venues. We will do everything
we can to keep the ticket prices for the parties
as low as possible, so that everyone can attend.
We

FRIENDSHIP
FUND |
|
The
Friendship
Fund, established in 2004 by Denise Kontras
Merino and Libbie Pfefferle Trott,
was designed to provide funding for disabled classmates
to attend the parties at no cost, and to provide
specialized transportation for them if necessary.
Many classmates generously donated to this fund.
We will again be using the Friendship Fund in
2009, so we
welcome your donations!

SPONSORSHIP
OF A TEACHER |
|
The
Class of 1969 invited a number of former teachers
to our 2004 Reunion Party at LaScala, and sixteen
of them attended (see
the list!)! Few classes include faculty
members, but we have always considered the reunions
to also be a time to visit with and thank the
teachers who made our experience in the UA Schools
so great. Naturally, we do not want them to
have to pay, so we welcome donations - or sponsorships
- to pay the dinner price for these teachers.

you would like to suggest a teacher we should
invite to the Reunion Party, please

If
you would like to sponsor a teacher, please
let us know. You can mark that section on
the invitation that will be coming to you in
early 2009, and include that cost with your
reservation.

THE
FLOAT |
|
We've
always used class funds for the materials to make
the float, and to rent the truck, but because
we do like to get elaborate with our float, we
certainly welcome any donations you'd be willing
to make to purchase the materials. Please
contact Dave Cooper if you are interested
in helping with the 2009 float.
